By law these days hotels are required to have fire alarm sounders in each room that can deliver 75 decibels of sound at the bed head and or shower room. Usually the smoke detector and sounder are in the same unit and will be mounted on the hotel room ceiling. Always ensure your hotel takes your safety seriously. Refuse to stay at establishments that do not have a L2 fire alarm system. Very bad news.
