Sydney in colour, Brian Eno’s Luminous Festival
Sydney is an impressive place. Now imagine Sydney being even more impressive…
We’ve had a chance to experience Brian Eno’s Luminous – an amazing light festival, taken place between May and June 2009, using several buildings in Sydney to express the art.
It was quite surprising and amazing to watch the Opera House changing colours and never having the same pattern twice. Also there were lots of other impressive places, such as the Museum of Contemporary Art and many other light installations; unfortunately we missed lots of them.

Love seeing the Opera house change color as well, phenomenal experience. I don’t particularly like the shape of it but it’s a great site to see no matter what! Great article!

Looks amazing! Not to mention that drip painting is one of my favorite painting techniques. This is a case of 1+1=3

I loved seeing the Opera House. It’s one of those ‘Must See’ places when visiting Australia. I wasn’t lucky enough to see it lit up at all though in the week I was in Sydney, not even with standard lighting at night. It was very unimpressive I have to say. I wish I had seen it the way you have, looks incredible.
